Administrative Personnel

Director of Special Education – This is a cabinet level position. Responsible for the administration of the district’s special education and gifted programs. The successful candidate for this position will be able to work collaboratively with the Superintendent, Board of School Directors, district administration, and district staff to provide a high-quality educational program to all students in the Blue Mountain School District. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree and Pennsylvania Supervisor of Special Education Certification with 5 years of administrative experience preferred. Salary will be competitive. Position is expected to be filled by the middle of January 2023. Instructional Personnel

BMEE Intervention Teacher – The candidate should have experience with diagnostic assessments, multi-tiered system of supports, and research-based intervention techniques; Reading Specialist certification and/or Special Education certification is preferred; Orton-Gillingham certification is highly-recommended. Long-term Substitute BMMS Mathematics Teacher - beginning approximately November 29, 2022 and continuing through May 8, 2023, Certification in Secondary or Mid-Level Mathematics Education required; email a letter of interest, PA standard application, certification, transcripts, reference letters and clearances to Gail Hershberger at gehershberger@bmsd.org
