About PAGE

The Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education (PAGE) is a non-profit organization that advocates for gifted students, their teachers, and their parents throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PAGE works with national and state organizations to provide resources through a web site (www.penngifted.org). PAGE offers email discussions via the web site, webinars, as well as a phone helpline. But that’s not all. The organization hosts state conferences, works for legislative initiatives, sponsors an awards program and keeps members informed with quarterly newsletters.

Local Chapter Established

We are proud to announce our local affiliate chapter PAGE of Blue Mountain. This new organization, established in 2005, provides a forum to network and share information within our school district and community. Participation has been strong with parents, teachers, administrators and students coming together to explore the academic, social and emotional needs of children.

Mission Statement

PAGE of Blue Mountain serves to promote a positive environment allowing gifted students to reach their highest potential, and it acts as a resource for families and educators of these students, thereby raising the level of educational excellence of the Blue Mountain School district community.

Activities and programs promoting this mission statement include:

  • Promoting free discussion among the members of PAGE of BM
  • Endorsing programs within the schools that enhance gifted education
  • Disseminating information to educators and parents of gifted students to help with the GIEP process
  • Inviting speakers to help educate our gifted community
  • Raising awareness for the recognition and acceptance of gifted students in the BMSD
  • Sponsoring programs in conjunction with other organizations that enhance the education of the gifted.
