  1. Mid Penn Bank “Anna Woodside” Scholarship – Applicants must show dedication to academic excellence and community service. Open to seniors in central Pennsylvania. Three $1000 awards. Deadline: March 16, 2018. Go to: midpennbank.com and search “Anna Woodside Scholarship.
  2. Student-View Scholarship Program – $11,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who will attend a 4 year college, community college, or trade school. Log onto www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute survey about colleges in your area. Scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing. Deadline: April 22, 2018.
  3. Snayberger Memorial Scholarship – Open to students whose parent or grandparent worked for the Walkin Shoe Company at any time up through September 1974. Applications may be obtained by contacting Randa Simmons at 800-278-5141 or rsimmons@wilmingtontrust.com. Application must be returned by March 31, 2018.
  4. American Society of Highway Engineers Scholarship – for seniors who are planning on enrolling in a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology. Three $3,000 scholarships will be awarded. Open to students in Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe and Schuylkill counties. See Mrs. Carr for application. Deadline: March 2, 2018.
  5. Aspiring Business Professional Scholarship – Must be pursuing a degree in a business program at an accredited post-secondary college. Selection based on proven academic success. One $1000 award will be given. Go to: http://onlinembareport.com/ select the scholarship on the right. Deadline: June 1, 2018.
  6. Abbot and Fenner Scholarship – Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page of their website: http://www.abbotandfenner.com/scholarships.htm One $1,000 award will be given. Deadline: June 14, 2018.
  7. Aspiring Nurse Scholarship – $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates academic excellence particularly in science and math and a passion for nursing and the overall healthcare field. Open to all high school students pursuing a college education in nursing. Go to www.nursingschoolalmanac.com Deadline: August 31, 2018.
  8. UNIGO Scholarships – Various scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $3,000. Students must submit essays (typically 250-500 words) on a specific topic. Scholarships include Superpower Scholarship, Do-over Scholarship, Flavor of the Month Scholarship, Make Me Laugh Scholarship, Shout it Out Scholarship, Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship, Education Matters Scholarship and Top Ten List Scholarship. Go to: www.unigo.com, select “scholarships, then our scholarships” at the top of the page. Deadlines vary from February 28, 2018 – December 31, 2018.
  9. The John Rich Curran Memorial Scholarship Fund – Applicants must have a financial need and intend to be furthering their education after high school in a four-year program at a four-year college or university. Applicants must have a cumulative B average or better in high school in order to apply. Applicants are required to submit a one to two page essay on the following subject: Describe a circumstance or time where you displayed courage by taking a chance or a risk on something, not knowing the outcome. Did it work out? Did it not work out? What did you learn from it? Regardless of result would you take the same chance again. Apply online at www.bccf.org. Deadline: March 15, 2018.
  10. The Hermine Solt Student Scholarship – for seniors who plan on pursuing higher education in a business-related field. Scholarships of $500 each will be offered to students who meet the requirements: Scholastic achievement and motivation for higher education, Qualities and traits of leadership, citizenship, and service to school and community, Financial need, Recommendations from business education department/member and/or school counselor must accompany application and the goal for a career in secretarial, office technology, accounting, business education. Please see Mrs. Carr for application. Deadline: March 1, 2018.
  11. The Mid-East Chapter PASBO Scholarship – $500 scholarship annually for a senior who has selected business administration as her/his education direction/career goal. The scholarship is $500 Must show leadership qualities, good character qualities and intention of pursuing an education/career in business. Please see Mrs. Carr for application. Deadline: March 30, 2018.
  12. The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Scholarship – The program provides four-year scholarships to two high school seniors per year. Eligibility criteria: graduating high school senior, legal residence of Pennsylvania, attending a Pennsylvania college, university or career school, GPA a minimum of 3.0, commitment to community and leadership qualities, extracurricular activities, financial need. **Children of legislators and their staff members are not eligible.   13. Schuylkill Elder Abuse Prevention Alliance Scholarship – Graduate of Schuylkill County high school or individual who lives or works in Sch. County, must be enrolled in post-secondary educational program, course of study which focuses on the physical, psychological or financial protection and wellbeing of the elderly. . Go to www.sacfoundation.com. Deadline: April 1, 2018.
