  1. PA School Public Relations Association Scholarship Program – Three $1,000 scholarships for public school students planning to major in a communications field (English, public relations, advertising graphic arts, etc.). Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Go to: http://www.penspra.org/ScholarshipInfo.aspx   Deadline:  March 9, 2018
  2. Hermine Solt Student Scholarship – $500 scholarship for Pennsylvania high school seniors pursuing higher education in a business related field (secretarial, office technology, accounting, business education, etc.). Go to:  paeop.com , select Awards & Scholarships, then Student Scholarship on the left. Deadline:  March 1, 2018.
  3. County Firemen’s Association of Pa Scholarship- Five $250 scholarships will be awarded. Open to any child of an active member of the six county firemen’s association, a child of a deceased member of the association, or any person who is an active member located within the six counties.  Preference will be given to those demonstrating financial need.  See guidance for application.  Deadline:  May 1, 2017.
  4. PHNCF Healthcare Scholarships –Open to students pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Four different scholarships available ranging from $1,500 – $5,000.  Apply online at: http://phnfoundation.net/healthcare-scholarships.aspx  Deadline: February 15, 2018.
  5. Society of Women Engineers – Awards of up to $5000 will be given to women graduating from area high schools enrolling in an engineering program at a college or university in the fall of 2018. Based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and leadership. Apply at: http://lv.swe.org/scholarships.html  Deadline:  February 11, 2018 at 5 PM.
  6. STEM Scholarship – Must attend Gettysburg College and major in a STEM related field (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, math, Physics). Recipients will receive full demonstrated financial need for all four years.  Visit: gettysburg.edu, in the search box type “STEM Scholarship”.  Deadline:  January 15, 2018 (must have CSS and FAFSA completed by Jan 15 as well).
  7. Women Who Care Volunteer Scholarship – One person in the county male or female will be awarded $500 for being involved in a positive way in their schools and communities. Requirements: 1) full time high school senior, 2) Nominated by high school principal or guidance counselor, 3) Maintain a grade point of 2.8 or higher, 4) Show a strong commitment and involvement in community service, 5) Plan to attend an accredited nonprofit college, university or vocational/technical school.  Pick up application in Guidance.  Deadline is February 15, 2018.
  8. Congress-Bundestage Vocational Youth Exchange Program – High school students must be at least 18 and no more than 19 years of age by July 1 of the departure year, graduated senior, minimum of a “B” average (3.0GPA), U.S. citizenship, ability to serve as an ambassador of your country. Interested students must be nominated by their high school.  Visit nacelopendoor.org.
  9. PA Association of Community Bankers Scholarship – $1,000 renewable scholarship. Applicant must be a dependent child of a parent working at a PACB member location or a child of a deceased employee.  For the application please see Guidance.  Deadline: February 23, 2018
