HS: Advanced Placement

The Advanced Placement Program provides high school students with the opportunity to pursue college-level studies and to receive credit and/or advanced placement in college on the basis of their performance on rigorous AP examinations. Policy on the acceptance of advanced placement exam scores varies among post-secondary institutions. This program is offered through the College Board;  college AP score policies can be found at www.collegeboard.org.   AP examinations are administered at Blue Mountain High School during designated dates and times in the month of May. The guidance department coordinates and administers the AP exams. Students enrolled in AP courses are required to take the exam in May, and pay for one-half of the exam fee.  Exam fees will be collected the first week of each school year.
